CofffeeDNA data submission procedures

There are two ways the data can be submitted

1. WWW submisstion: The sequence data can be submitted directly in the appropriate form. Select the type of data from the left menu and follow the instructions

2. File upload: The data can also be submitted by uploading the files to CoffeeDNA server. Most suitable for multiple sequences / huge datasets. The sequence file may be in one of the following file formats.

  • MS Excel file (Ver. MS Excel 97 or above)
  • CSV file (tab delimited)
  • Flat ASCII file

  • Formatting the "FIELD" in the file varies with the type of data. Please refer the Example in each type of data

Your submission will be scrutinized through relevent procedures and added to the database. CoffeeDNA depicts the data along with the sumitter information and therefore the submitter holds the whole responsibily of the data.

    CofffeeDNA data submission policy

CofffeeDNA accepts DNA/RNA sequences that have been sequenced by the submitter.

At this time, the following types of submissions are NOT acceptable:

    • Data from the submitter not registered in CoffeeDNA database
    • Sequences of less than 50 bp in length
    • Sequences containing markers (such as microsatellites, SNPs, Retro-transposons, ESTs) without the relevent marker information
    • Microsatellite genotyping data without the comprehensive genotype information
    • Genomic sequence of multiple exons joined together without the sequence of the intervening introns
    • Primer only sequences
    • Protein only sequences
    • Non-biologically contiguous sequences containing internal unsequenced spacers
    • Sequences containing a mix of genomic and mRNA sequence represented as a single sequence
Note: If your submitted sequence is identical in multiple sources (eg: different geographies/specimens/isolates/strains), then you should submit each sequence from each source as a separate submission.
